Angry WTF do you mean i cant block you!!!

Alright everyone I have been receiving this phone call on my cell phone from about a month now. It is not every day or all the time, but when this person does call, they usually call like 15 times in a row!!! My caller ID says "Private" and when i answer the phone, there is someone there but they are just not saying nething. I have cussed at them, threatened them and actually tried to bribe them to tell me who they are and to stop calling. I tried calling my cell phone provider and they said the only thing i can do is change my damn number. Im like wtf this is total BS. They cant trace the number or even block it. And i cant block it myself bc i dont know their damn number. Has anyone else experienced this?

Call the cops. They'll get a warrant to monitor your phone calls...

the solution is to either have your number changed or pay your cellular provider under the table to block that caller -- you could even get the number from them if they called again and you paid them enough

as for a call being untracable, is all bullsh-t
all calls can be not only traced but numbers are logged

edit: yes, calling the cops may work

but always remember: whenever someone says a number is untracable, they're lying through their ugly, fat, gift tech support/sales rep mouth

They can trace the number infact they knew the number when you called for help. You just need a court order to get them to be able to leagaly tell you what the number was. I would just change your numer or wait them out. They will get bored after a time. Just make sure you report the calls to your cell provider so they can fix the billing against those calls. If they will not fix the billing it is time to find a good cell provider who will.

When they call, dont hang up, just leave the phone on. If someone is calling you from a personal line (home or mobile), you will rack up their charges

One thing NOT to do is let them know you are getting irritated or angry, this is what they are obviously trying to do, if you show them your not bothered, they will probably go away.

Don't you have an answering machine? let them talk into that, or get an other number preferably with an other provider.

Well it is on my cell phone and i only have unlimited nights and weekends so if they call during the day they will be racking up my minutes to. And yes i have voice mail but it seems when they get there....or i reject the call and it sends them there, they just hang up and call again. Ill prolly just wait it out........i dont wanna go through the hassles of changing my number and then having to call everyone and tell them.

Not familiar with cell phones( don't like them, only use one at work when they make me )

However there should be a way to block all calls marked private, I know I do this on my home phone. Basically if you call my house and it would show up as private, you are not getting through without dialing *82 or whatever it is to list yourself.

Hopefully cell phones are not that stupid that you can't do this

Maybe someone has your number saved on their phone, never bothers to put the key-lock on and ends up accidentally calling you. It happens to me occasionally.

The same thing happened to me a few days ago. I was coming home from my dorm and I kept getting a number that said "Unavailable." I'd say hello twice and hang up if they didn't answer.

Anyways, they kept calling every few minutes so I picked it up and listened into the phone.. Turns out that it was fax machine

yeah i have had this happen to me too, but usually when it does you can hear ppl talking in the background. This call is just silent and happens usually 5-15 times in a row.

And yes it prolly is some immature lil bastage!!

I had a problem with prank a callern my cell before. This person would call and fill my voicemail box with burps. This would happen everynight, so after a month a just changed my number. I hate prank callers.

yeah thank god they dont like to fill my voicemail. I just think it may be a stalker to something. So when they do leave voice mail it is usually only a few seconds of silence and then they hang up.
