![]() Hi everyone! This forum has been extremely useful to solve my problem, so i am writing down my personal experience. I have W98SE on a P2L97 motherboard rev.1.05 PII233 64mb PC66 and a newly acquired Radeon 32DDR. I had to a lot of problems because of the power limitation built in the mobo; none game using D3D was able to run and the faults varied from complete freeze of the PC to sudden shutdown of the games (in WinME) to irrecoverable blank screen whit the music still playing (reset required). I supposed thet the problem was the old RIVA128 (AGP3000 by ASUS) until i read in this forums of power issues in some mobo. I went to ASUS site and...voila', the problem and the rework were there. I had to rework manually my board connecting the AGP power directly to the input 3.3V of the incoming power cable following the rework instructions. Now i play just fine and i am quite happy of my Radeon 32DDR So beware!, check your pawer needs. |
