mixing and matching good quality brands of DDR ram is generally not a problem its the cheapo generic stuff that usually is a problem.

i'm not sure what the kingston is going for, but Crucial 256ddr 2100speed is only $65us at their site

whenever possible, i like to keep the same brand memory together (even the same size chips), but Kingston is decent quality so 90% chance it would work fine

Definetly DONOT get the AthlonXP 2000, you'll see very little difference from your 1800.

Power supply, you have a Antec350 already, so unless your using more than 3 IDE devices at once I think your fine.

WD 80gig 8meg chache hard drive rocks if you need more space. If you don't, then yes it'd be a speed upgrade but it's not worth it for right now if your ok on space. Better to get the Ram or Video card

Another 256 ram would be good, but only get it if your running several programs at once, or if your a big gamer because many games like UT2k3 only work well with 512DDR (even more is recommended for that game)

Radeon 9500 128DDR would be awesome.

So your choice is between R9500 or another 256chip, or the hard drive IF and only if you need more space. I can't make that decision for you, think about what more important to you for your computer and choose an item.

Thumbs up thanks for feedback

Muchos gracias,Gator

A buddy of mine was looking to upgrade also, he has 850 t-bird, radeon 7500, & 10 gig hd setup, so i was thinking i could swap out most of my rig & give to him and a freindly discount rate & use some of his $ on my upgrade, 80gb hard for $98 doesnt seem to bad ,now im doing some home video editing & burnig to svcd, which requires a ton of space.

I am gamer too, so i have been eyeing the new radeons for a while.

bigger case less heat , bigger psu, more ram & better vcard, i should be set for sometime few years hopefuly

thanks
