Default NVIDIA's bridged PCI-Express card ???

NVIDIA's bridged PCI-Express card what does that mean? Does this mean its a PCI Express card that will also work with a AGP slot?

Also will the NV40 use Shader Model 3.0? And are the drivers for Nvidia good? I need to deside what I am going with NV40 or R420. Hope you can help.

And when will we be able to walk or run lol in a bestbuy and buy these cards?

Means that they created a "bridge" to connect AGP systems with PCI-E systems. Despite a lot of rumours, it will not allow you to use a PCI-E card in an AGP slot, it will allow you to use an AGP card in a PCI-E slot. The NV40 chip in these cards is designed to work with an AGP system, the bridge will allow it to be used in a PCI-E motherboard, but it will still mostly be limited to AGP specs (nVidia has, apparently, boosted the speed considerably, but it is still half-duplex, IIUC).

nVidia says that it will support Shader Model 3.0, but it is unknown whether this means at the minimum possible specs, below the minimum specs with a waiver (like they did with DX9) or whether it is a full blown implementation. Also unknown is whether it "technically" capable of SM 3.0 or "realistically" capable of SM 3.0.

nVidia's drivers are largely stable (they still have problems, check out any nVidia support forum to see what kind), but they sometimes seem to "adjust" your settings, or at least the output, in order to "enhance the user's experience". Often, they do this without allowing you the choice of turning it off.

Supposedly, the card will be out by the end of the month.
