Angry Water

Ok, I just did a refill on my water cooling kit and one of the pipes leaked a bit. There's a small bit of water on the motherboard and some on the videocard, but most just at the bottom of the case. The system wasn't on while doing this, but should everything still be ok if I give a couple of days to dry out before turning it on again?

As long as you let it dry, it will be fine.

If it was off it should be fine. Just unplug it and let it sit atleast overnight.

Okie doke. Thanks, I just wanted to make sure on that. Figure I'll let it sit for 3 or so days just to make sure.

BTW, are you using distilled water? (Lower salinity and therefore lower conductivity)

Just make sure to unplug it asap. A lot of the channles on a motherboard (including the PCI slots) have power to them even when the system is powered off.

It was all unplugged before I started the process. I'm using some kind of bottled water. Um... Canadian Essence Natural Spring Water *Shrug*
