Default hd 4850 problem

hi
has anybodies 4850
suffered any problems like stopping ??

i have a GeCube hd 4850
playing crysis when i get to some levels the game stops
and a windows problem msg pops up
saying ''atimdog has stopped working and is now working again''
any ideas??

card is set on overdrive and fan adjusted to 70%

game running on 'high'

rig
32bit vista
asus 790chipset board
4gig 800mhz ram
amd x4 9500
hiper 680 psu
2x western digital 320gig disk

Sounds like a bork install of the drivers. Try a clean install of the drivers.

Try setting all gpu and system clocks back to default, and then see if you get what it sounds like you're getting: a VPU recover error. Overclocking causes many such problems. I mention overclocking only because you say you are using Overdrive.

That could be the issue, but only reason I say that is because atimdag is mostly spotted with a bad driver install. I never heard of atimdog, so I only assume he means atimdag.
