MrB is still being judged by the masses

Default Notebook Chipset Info

DigiTimes has posted an article about Intel's launch of several integrated products for its new-generation Banias and Dothan notebook platforms. In the article they talked a little a bit about what ATI is going to do to respond to the pressure.
Given Intel’s even greater dominance of the notebook market compared to the desktop market, the pressure on other graphics chip designers is no doubt greater. Faced with the increasing competition, chip suppliers like ATI Technologies and Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) are planning to launch new graphics chips or integrated chipsets to consolidate their market presence.

For the notebook sector, the Canada-based ATI has recently finished samples of its new M10 notebook-use graphics chip and has scheduled to launch two more integrated chipsets, the RS250 and RS300, next year. Incorporating an AGP 8x graphics-enabled core, ATI’s two upcoming integrated chipsets feature enhanced graphics performance. In the past, the graphics core used in integrated products was usually one generation behind the latest graphics chips.
