Default ATT Free iphone....but not for you loyal customers

I keep seeing ads promising great things for people who will switch to their carrier. I'm specifically referring to the free iphone 7 for directv customers who port another carrier's number over to ATT wireless.

Been a customer of both for many years, they haven't offered me jack ****.

Planning on going by an ATT store next week (internet CSR chat is useless) and saying "WTF? You guys want to give me a free iphone 7?"

Anyone had any success with this?

Companies never offer good incentives to long-term customers. Look at all the stuff the cable companies offer to new subscribers. Meanwhile, those of us who have been using their service for five or ten years are lucky if we can get the tech to fart in our house's direction as they drive by.

That's when you speak to the "retentions" department and threaten to cancel unless concessions are made, but you have to be prepared to follow through if they don't present a counteroffer to your satisfaction.

FWIW, it's only working with 32 bit applications, which doesn't totally invalidate the feature, but it does limit it.

Get a cheap tmobile activation kit (including activation code) and go to the prepaid area on t-mobile website and port in your current att line using the cheapest option which is a $10 prepaid plan. After you confirm that your line is making/receiving calls with your att number on the new tmobile $10 plan go to your nearest att store and port said number back to att and get free iphone. Your welcome.

Is the iPhone actually free or do you end up paying for it through your monthly bill and contract you have to sign to get it for free?

Most (all?) U.S. carriers moved away from contracts a couple years ago.
