Not today, but the other day I did an oil change, and put in new plugs.

They weren't that bad, but after 3 years of hard abuse on and off boost, I figured I probably should.

Been meaning to do some car stuff on my time off work.. but I don't really feel like working on the car when it is -30C outside and the garage is unheated.

Hopefully it will warm up soon.

Went to my grandma's place out in the middle of nowhere in Illinois. This gave me a chance to really open up my Porsche on those country roads. After a couple of test runs, I got my car up to 150mph. Probably could have taken it faster. But that old country highway, that hasn't been paved in decades, is a bit sketchy. But, it certainly does give me a new appreciation for race car drivers. I was tense as hell just getting it up to 150mph.

Yeah, I was pondering that. Perhaps if I was on a nice smooth road and didn't have my snow tires on, I'd give it a shot. But, when I hit 150 I was thinking "If I hit something and started flipping right now, I wonder how far I would continue tumbling before I came to a stop."

I must say though, my car was as smooth driving at 150mph as it is driving at 50mph. The fastest I had gone before was about 110mph in my VW Cabrio and it felt like my car was about to shake apart.

You get use to it after a while. I've brought my car up to 130mph multiple times, and it feels no different than 90mph really. Once you cruise at that speed for 5sec or so, the rush kind of wears off. It's pretty easy to get up that fast in the Vette, and imagine it's the same for your car. I don't even think about hitting 120mph or so anymore, it's too easy. Hell, 9 passes at the dragstrip hitting a minimum of 106-109mph each pass tends to warp your sense of speed after a while.

Good to hear you got her out and gave her a good run though. I wish I could do the same, but I fear it will be in the garage for many more months yet. I haven't even driven my car in over a month now...hasn't even been started up. And with the economy the way it is, I'm still hoarding my cashflow. No plans for it until I see brighter times ahead.

Well I didn't drive my Mitsubishi Eclipse 2006 GT for two weeks since we got big snow here. So, i go to garage and i see my front right tire is flat. Well that sucks. I had cut on that tire this Summer, somebody did it with knife or some sharp tool but it didn't make tire go flat. Now it is. I'm planning to take out wheels and do painting on them. There is guy in town which does amazing job and he takes $40 per wheel. Then i will have to order new tires and put them on. Then before wheels go back, i'm putting new (EVO) breaking system

. Next project after that is replacing stock body kit with Mitsubishi AERO Body kit.

Anyway before i take wheels out i need to get new wheel lock. I lost mine...crap.

Yeah I need to rattle can my wheels too, and get the special BMW AErU body kit for minimal drag. After that I will be upgrading to PORSCHE Ricer break technology to increase my street performance. Big breakes are great for waiting till the last minute to slam on the breakes coming to a light.

I would normally do the oil and tires by myself but I had to bring it in anyway for the recall, so I just let them do everything else while I was there.

I've had my car up to 125 before, but I wouldn't take it past that, the tires are rated for 130, and my gearing limits to 140 as a theoretical max. Plenty of power to get there, but I like my close ratio.

So I took my feels to be painted. There are stock 18" Aluminium since this GT Eclipse came with sports package including sway bar and other things.

What size are they? What size are the stock brakes? Changing the pads too or only the rotors? You should give us more info.

I opened the the door of the Vette today and took the tire pressure gauge out to check the work car's tires. It smelled of leather and my car cleaning supplies, it was wonderful.

Front Rotors are 11.5" in size and Rear rotors are 10.5" or 11.2" for GT model inches in size. Changing rotors and pads, will keep stock clipers. I was thinking to go with iRotors but i heard EBC is much better quality. I talked to salesman, web site got nice live chat support. Gave them my VIN number so they put right order on it, so they gave me number back which i entered and got my order.

You should give us more info. I opened the the door of the Vette today and took the tire pressure gauge out to check the work car's tires. It smelled of leather and my car cleaning supplies, it was wonderful. __________________
