Having a ton of fun with both Shining Resonance Refrain from Sega and Diablo3. Just these 2 games would make the Switch a worth while purchase for me.

One of the drawbacks of a portable, Mine has hardly left the cradle. Probably could have done with out the screen protector

Picked up an SN30 controller for my wife, along with the new Retro Sonic game and Overcooked and Rocket League on sale.

This console keeps getting better.

That is a shame.

So I guess metroid prime 4 will be one of the last first party games releasing on the switch then.

I hope they have a backup plan like porting the metroid prime trilogy or a switch remaster of that 3ds remaster of metroid 2.

Well, yes. They've taken the game away from an un-named studio and given it back to Retro, where it should have started.

Rumor is the Prime trilogy port has been ready for a while, it was supposed to be announced at the Game Awards last year, but Nintento decided against it at the last minute, and release date was delayed a year. That and "more things metroid are coming".

So wife and I have been playing Overcooked on this a lot.
Really a great console, love how easy it is to take with you.
Also, going to be a homebrew dream later in it's life cycle. (Don't want to risk Nintendo Online yet).

Just picked up Valkyrie chronicles 4 to add to my arsenal of Switch awesomeness. Looking at Tales of Vesparia as well. ^_^

I'm really contemplating getting a Switch now.

Was at Dave & Busters for the nephew's birthday (he's freaking 3 years old already.... wtf

) and they had the arcade version of it that he loved. Being the great uncle that I am, I of course had to intentionally get him into first just to blue shell him a few times.......

But, the more I see of the new Zelda and Smash brother games I sort of want to get one...

The only real question is; how durable are they? I don't think I'd let him have it as a full fledged portable mode, so just on the dock, but.... if he were to drop it, is it a goner like a phone now a days or are they a bit more tough?

Is it necessary to have the pro controller if it is docked? There are some bundles with it that aren't too terrible of a price with games so I'm wondering if it is worth it.

Digital vs. Cart - is it easier one way or the other? I know its got room for microSD, and would probably throw a fairly sizable card in, but if it was only a handful of games (Smash, Kart, Zelda, maybe Mario, etc.) would it be necessary?

Either way, talk me in to it or out of it, as I'm not sure I really need it, but it'd be fun to play with the little bugger.

Quite durable, but the screen is plastic so can scratch (Get a screen protector) JerryRigEverything did his tests on it, and I was impressed.

The Nintendo Direct has some very good stuff in it today.
Most importantly, Mario Maker 2, which if the boxart is anything to go by, will be multiplayer. (It better have split screen co-op Nintendo, IT BETTER HAVE IT!!!)

Also, Zelda Legend of Link remake? Nice!
