Kind of bummed. I picked up Tropical freeze around the holidays for WiiU. If I had known; and really should have known, it was coming to the switch I would have hold off. I don't play my WiiU. I already traded in Zelda BOTW and Mario Kart 8 for the switch ver. Kind of tired of paying "twice".

Also, bummed no GTA announcement. I figured Rockstar would put this on the switch given that it prints $$.

Re: Dark Souls. Well to be fair it's being rereleased on all consoles and PC. That is more of the industry rehashing last gen more than Nintendo rehashing games.

Since I have finished Odyssey the switch has been shelved and it looks like it will continue to stay there. I dont see anything on the horizon I went to play exclusively on the switch.

Yeah I think for most people ports being released to the Switch are a good thing.

For the Wii U ports because a lot of people might not have experienced them, and for other ports because now you'll have the ability to play them in a portable handheld fashion. In a lot of other situations with other consoles in the past this would be considered a rehashing, but its different for the Switch because of the portability. Nintendo was genius for this.

Dark Souls on Switch sounds very appealing to me, even though I've already put over 200 hours into it on PC.

I hope it will not suffer from frame pacing issues like all the other games using the ds3/bloodborne engine on a ps4/xb1/console.

Disagreed. WiiU was such a massive failure... the fact is that WiiU games are still new to nearly everyone. It would be a crime against the universe to not release the good WiiU games on a better platform.

It was a direct Mini. The only people who hyped it have themselves to blame, as Nintendo certainly didn't hype it.

Since I have the WiiU I would like to have a few more new Switch releases then I am seeing right now. Already have these WiiU ports on the WiiU. Only reason I bought Mario Kart 8 again is because it is more of the complete game with battle mode arenas.

Ys VIII just came out for PS4 recently. I for one am glad I hadn't gotten around to picking it up on vita or ps4 yet so I can get it on switch instead.

Yeah. Nintendo will prolly announce the big stuff at e3 this year. I'm hoping they announce a Smash Bros delux. No reason to take the time to create a whole new game, just add a few new characters and levels and get it released!

I'm also hoping they'll release an hd version of Galaxy... I'm getting ready to build a whole new rig to play it in emulation, after seeing youtube videos of it running in 4k + hd textures.

I really like playing mario kart with the joycons. I picked up an extra set (4 in total), and we had people over on new year's eve. I expect they'll work fine for smash bros as well.

Mario Kart is worthwhile for the hd graphics and the battlemode. I'm happy to own it on WiiU and Switch.

I ordered a switch a couple days ago, got it with BOTW, should arrive tomorrow. I am looking forward to Mario Odyssey, Dark Souls, Rocket League, and a lot of the ports they're releasing.

Well Nintendo is providing the plans for the cardboard for free. So if they do get destroyed you can make your own.

Who knew one day you'd look at amazon delivery boxes as DLC.

So far I'm up to 6 legendary, 58 rare and somewhere around 180-190 common core crystals since my last random rare blade.

Before this run, I had not gone 30 total w/o getting one at any point.

Well, add another 4 legendary, 13 rare and 59 common since my last random rare blade. I now have every blade but my last 4 randoms and that's well over 300 in a row w/o getting one. Most of the posts I have seen have people around 80 or so between there 2nd to last and last blade. I'm, starting to think there is some hidden trigger in game to allow for certain random blades. Have any of you that have played it had any where near this much trouble getting all your blades?

You're thinking of binding of Issac the original, this is rebirth which is basically a massively extended version. Though it still does suffer from switch tax.

After playing DBZ Xenoverse 2 in portable mode, I gotta admit that the controller layout, particularly on the right side is shite. I hope an aftermarket or nintendo one comes out that improves it.

Nintendo games are notorious for never dropping in price. Smash Bros Wii U is still $40+ for a used copy. Heck, even Smash Bros Brawl is still expensive.

'Problem is, Nintendo is very conservative, rigorously controlling the supply of their games. They refuse to drop prices to sell higher volumes, which maintains scarcity and tends to keep prices high, even on the secondary market.

Contrast that against EA, who continually pumps out copies of everything and just drops price whenever they need to keep demand up.

I'm, starting to think there is some hidden trigger in game to allow for certain random blades. Have any of you that have played it had any where near this much trouble getting all your blades? After playing DBZ Xenoverse 2 in portable mode, I gotta admit that the controller layout, particularly on the right side is shite.
