Default YoutubeTV Jacks Prices 30%

Just got notification that now it's going to cost $65. Looks like I'll be looking into a new service or just give up on TV altogether. I signed up a little more than a year ago and they're pulling the same **** cable companies do, after a year it's gone from $40 to 65 bucks. Sucks because I got my parents and other family members wet up on it too because it was such a good deal.

We all knew where this would go. Just talking about the many different streamers and each wanting more and more money effectively costing the same as cable.
So black out the right column if you desire.

Never took the hat off. I’m not paying for 10 different services because all networks want a piece of the pie. I subscribe to the big 4 (Hulu, Netflix, Prine, and Disney+). Everything else, ahoy maties.

To be fair, at the same time we are in some of the best time for massive amount of new scripted TV series being made, and that is due to all the competition among all these services. Personally, I would rather we keep on having all these competing services and not go back to just Netflix.

The great thing about all these Streaming services, you can subscribe and cancel them at any time, you can tailor made the content you want to watch with how much you are willing to spend, which is not something you can do very effectively, if at all, with Cable TV. So sure you can easily get to spending as much as a cable TV service if you decide to subscribe to that many, but at the same time do you really need to subscribe to that many at the same time? I don't, which is why I cancel one subscription to start up a different one, and rotate it around based on what I am going to watch.

The bad thing about all these services is they wind up costing more than the cable you're looking to replace, when added all up.

I keep my subscriptions to only what I need. Hulu, Motortrend On Demand, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix (using my mom's account ), and Youtube Premium. My wife uses Hulu and Netflix more than I do, but that's okay.

As far as games go I subscribe to Origin, Humble Choice, Xbox Game Pass PC. I paused Humble Choice last month because it went downhill for me the last several months. They say $200 worth of games this month for $10 or whatever. If you find all of those games on sale they add up to not too much and they're usually indie games or something really cheap.

I've also found the services start carrying the same content as well. Something was on sale on Humble store, went into the Humble choice after the sale ended, ends up on Fanatical or vice versa and then ends up on Xbox Game Pass.... Probably going to cancel my Humble Choice account to start off the downsizing. Just not worth it.

I still buy my games though...just on sale.

Yeah i have been using them for the last 6 months and will now cancel as well, will probably look at sling or something. They try sell it as, oh we just added these channels so we think its great value. Pisses me off because i didn't ask for those channels and we already only watch maybe 5% of the channels anyway

Yar here with a bottle of rum since the 90's. But I do miss the quality sometimes so for must see shows like the amazon LOTR and Kenobi next year I may break that trend to get some good 4k steaking.

Exactly. And for older people like my parents, they signed up because it was so easy and a good price. They don't want to have to flip flop services every year, that's why they got rid of cable to begin with. I'm fine with it because I obtain whatever I want to watch via other means if needed, I mainly watch YouTube series anyway.

Lol, I guess traditional cable providers don't have anything to worry about.
