Default PCIe x 4.0 on Radeon VII

I just noticed that my Radeon VII runs PCIe x 4.0 on my x570 chipset, in bios my board a Gigabyte Aorus Master is set at auto. The settings is shown in AMD driver overview

CPU is the X3800

OS win 10 pro 1903

Any one else noticed that?

As far as I can find, the Radeon VII does not support PCI-E 4.0. It may have something to do with the Radeon driver detecting your Chipset supports PCI-E 4.0, but the GPU definitely does not, which is why GPU-Z shows PCI-E 3.0.

In a likely move to further segment the Radeon VII from the Radeon Instinct MI50, AMD has disabled PCIe 4.0 on the former.
