Just got done the series it was pretty good. They should give a movie trilogy to Favreau.

Did you watch the prequels? Evrywhere the main characters went people knew who and what the Jedi were.

Whats everywhere tho? In the OT only a few worlds are visited. And even on Coruscant Jedi, when in public, tell people to mind their own business. Plus a lot of what Jedi do may be seen as tech. And a form of spy work done secretly. I get the feeling that out of millions of worlds in the galaxy Jedi may have been seen on only a few dozen or hundred...

Only the OT exists, episode 1-3 and 7-9 have been removed from history.

This has been asked and answered many times on the Internet. A quick Google search found several explanations.

The real answer is simple. They're throw-away characters in movies designed to be killed. They're shooting at main/important characters, which is why they miss so much. They may have shiny white armor, but it's not nearly as strong as plot armor.

Your impression of what you believed you saw is a bit fuzzy... you should watch the PT films again with that in mind...

We saw higher ups... or "some" higher ups of the Trade Federation knowing that "Jedi" meant they didn't want to be against them or deal with them... hence those Droidikas or Destroyer Droids... and they were already under manipulation by a Sith Lord who promised them "wealth" and "POWER" as it is implied in TPM because they freak out that another one shows up in the hologram...

Anakin heard stories from "space travelers" in the sense of old old stories of sailors who traveled in the ancient world and told weird tales of golden fleeces, islands filled with gold and women... a bunch of "tall tales" because in the real world men have a tendency to brag and boast and enhance things...

Hence Anakin heard that "you could not kill a jedi" (false) and that "jedi used laser swords" when everyone else uses blasters, blaster rifles and heavy repeater blasters... some dweeb with a laser sword that waves his hands sounds like target practice or bantha poodoo.

In attack of the clones the Jedi were probably well known in Coruscant "if" they appeared in public but immediately told the public to mind their business because this was a jedi thing... who knows if most jedi are instructed to use mind tricks in that situation so the public doesn't freak out while they do an investigation.

The clone wars... well the jedi are not about ego iirc so I'm sure the jedi council would block stuff about "insert name jedi hero did heroic acts for adoration" kinda goes against anything Yoda said in ESB...

The Jedi in Star Wars universe are like hearsay... you hear tall tales about them... maybe you see a couple in real life action but they do things so fast you may question what you saw... plus a bunch of SW dweebs are drinking that green and blue milk (Disney ruined that one) those death sticks and lusting after Twilek bathhouse chicks to be impressed with Jedi, much less bother to really remember them...

And Jango Fett killed a few... right away we can infer that depending on the public (not everyone is a bounty hunter) the Jedi are a bunch of rarely seen weirdos...

Then you get into the Sith who lurk in the shadows... even least known and apparently don't care for fame or Emperor Palpatine would have publicly revealed that the Sith were running the Empire... it also seems to be implied that the militarists Grand Moffs and Regional Governors loyal to and under the influence of the Sith Lord Emperor would most likely be as clueless as the guy in ANH who dismissed Darth Vader as some "old sorcerer" I'll say that for the PT and OT... for Disney it's all a joke really.

Look I do not wanna complain but the Mandalorian is this veteran ace fully trained Mandalorian who was ace at bounty hunting... he said "I like those odds" about a higher number of stormtroopers, hell he even has some good moments displaying his skills in a few other episodes where they decided to plot write it in and I was getting annoyed that it took up to the 8th episode to finally bring in Bacta which is basically the SW senzu seed which can bring you back from a near mortal death and fully heal you.

I seriously wouldn't have had a problem if they had implemented bacta more often... why did an "assassin/hunter droid" have a bacta healing kit and the other idiots don't seem to have bacta in their batman utility belts?

I really loved the unnamed female Mandy Moore ultra warrior slash weapons smith basically wiping the face out of stormtroopers by her self without firing a single shot... but that scene does scream a huge problem with the series logic and writing.

Kinda like how in GoT we had a highly trained Jon Snow who ends up being an emotional little and petty man who's also spineless... I know the traditional "male hero" is a trope but come on...

We have an ex Rebel bio enhanced female heavy weapons expert who is practically a Mandalorian in character too, old Apollo Creed who left Rocky to get rich living in the Galactic Republic making bank and then Corey Mandola... maybe it's me but I feel if someone with a spine wrote this show, this episode we would have seen a much more hard fought (not epic, not bad ass trope) battle against larger odds... we've seen this in films like Saving Private Ryan and even The Pacific related HBO or Cinemax show... even in Spartacus show were there's a reason that one person can literally take down a bunch others... this show is plot device, make the audience think something and deceive the audience... I hope they get better writers but just relying on minor characters and baby characters to carry the action is what weakens the show.

Not going to claim that The Mandalorian has great acting or writing, but it has an authentic SW vibe and I have yet to reach the point where I'm ready to give up on it, unlike the recent DSW trilogy, where it went so far off the rails that I no longer care what happens to those characters, and just feels like really high budget fan fiction made by people who don't understand the essentials of SW.

Hmm a couple of weeks ago the director or producer of the Mandalorian went and actually got George Lucas to take a photo with a Baby Yoda doll that Favreau or whatever later tweeted...(they also revealed that the character actually has a name)

I'm pretty sure if George Lucas had actually handled a 50 year old Yoda like lifeform or species... I'm pretty sure the character would have had full dialogue instead of the rather predatory baby sounds to manipulate female noobs, n00bs and OT SW nerds who are Disney brainwashed n00bs.

Not sure... I did see the social media post a while back... most likely they're gonna have a reveal at some point...
