Default Top phones under $300 phones?

Wife's phone is giving out, so time for something new.

I got a Nexus 5x that I am reasonably happy with, but wanted to know what else is out there.

This the current list I am looking to add to.

Nexus 5X ($270)
Nexus 6p ($400)
moto g4 plus ($250)
moto g4 ($150)

Battery life and camera quality, and durability are her biggest concerns.

I would prefer to get her a Nexus device, for the more frequent security updates.

Edit: originally had accidentally looked up pricing on the Nexus 6 instead of Nexus 6p. $400 puts it out of what I want to spend.

https://www.nextbit.com/collections/all

There is a red and black one that should be in the store soon.

USB-C connector instead of micro-USB would also be nice. Getting a little tired of replacing micro-USB cables, which seem to constantly break.

The LG G4 can be had for under $300 usd unlocked. LG is the next fastest for updates after google, sports a stellar camera and decent battery life.

What happens to the Robin if Nextbit goes under and the cloud storage goes away?

No clue. However you do have local storage too.

As an aside, this is a deal that's a bit above your price, but includes a smart watch:
