iOS is slow because of how the OS is structured and how many steps it takes to complete certain actions. Also, the slowness is masked often by animations.

I haven't used an S7 yet, personally, but stock Android, even on my old Nexus 5, was pretty fast. Especially when the animations were turned down or off.

I can definitely see the lag in animations on my iPhone 6s+.

But things are, overall, at more of a parity than a few years back.

/me shrugs

It is blatantly obvious when looking at a 6s v/s a 6s plus.

Some beta OS's fix it, some revert back. It's better than it used to be but still slow.

Not so blatant I guess:

That said I do really love the S7 edge, it is awesome.

Not really surprising. iOS is still the king when it comes to overall speed and fluidity.

Being an S7 Edge owner I've got to say I agree. Not by much though.

Hah, you're totally right. You got me bro. The SPEED test is exactly the same as the iOS ANIMATION LAG I mentioned

This happens all over the phone since iOS loves its animations (which contributes to the overall feeling of slowness).

Is the phone fast? Certainly. But when you take out game load times, it is about as fast as other devices. Game loads are certainly well optimized, and those of several apps.

I don't mind the phone. But the lag I see every damn day, it adds up.

I wouldn't call the animation speed lag because it's speed is intended. If you jailbreak there is a mod to speed up the animations and it helps quite a bit in that speed "feeling"

The speed is not intended.

It has varied wildly from when I first bought it (abysmal) through a few preview/final OS's (fluid) through some other preview/final OS's (abysmal). It is running decently at the moment on 9.3.3 but let's not get ahead of ourselves and say it works as intended. It does not. The animations speed up and slow down depending on which OS is installed, and randomly sometimes even on an OS where things are otherwise fluid.

I saw this with my 6 plus but haven't seen it yet on my 6s plus. Have you tried doing a backup and restore?

I'm with toadpipe on this one, if there's animation lag on my 6s+ I don't see it.

I don't see it either. I guess I could video myself using the 6s plus at 120 or 240 FPS and see if there is anything I'm not noticing.

I notice occasional stutter and lag on my 6s.

9.3 got rid of most lag for me. Not sure what you're complaining about.

Oh, you know, the lag

Wouldn't be an issue for me if the 6s was lagging as well.
