No hdmi Audio when hdmi and vga are both attached to HD3850
OK...i have searched all over the place and cant find anyone with the same problem... i have built a htpc and my case has a 7in screen on the front. i am using a HD3850 512. Here is my issue when i connect my hdmi adapter (the one that came with the card) and use a hdmi cable to my tv all is fine and i get sound and everything but when i connect the 7in screen to the second dvi port (vga connection with dvi to vga adapter that came with the card) the audio stops working. I am using Catalyst 8.1. HDMI is selected as my playback source and it does work if i do not have the second output connected. Same thing happens if i swap ports... HDMI is connected to the port closest to the motherboard. i am running Vista Ultimate x32 anyone have any suggestions??? |
