Star Wars FTW!

Star Trek has its moments, but these days it's just standard sci-fi. It's really a whole different category compared to SW. Star Wars is a mythology, and basically a Good-vs-Evil story, whereas ST is a nerdy what-if, just like "The Matrix". I much prefer mythologies that give us a solid, morally-based Good-vs-Evil story and characters, such as the Middle-earth stories, superhero stuff, etc, but if you prefer sci-fi/what ifs then enjoy whatever you enjoy.

I disagree that star wars should be considered scifi. it's more fantasy in space. star trek gave us floppy disks, cell phones and (most likely in the near future) comm badges. star wars gave us... THX

Its called science FICTION for a reason; besides ST did no such thing as invent cell phones and floppy disks thats pure nonsense.

I like Trek but never got into as much as Star Wars, especially the originally triology. As for Episodes I-III my son is nuts about (the same as I was the original 3) so Lucas did something right there.

Star Wars always seemed to be a little more mythical to me, the Force, lightsabers, Princess Leia in the Jabba bikini...
