Katie is like me she's really showing her age. At one time I thought she was kinda hot. Now not so much.

Low budget CGI, tired cliches and the switching of gender roles seems forced.

It is not The Expanse.

Neither did I.

Stuck with it until we finally got to the space ship, only to find a crew made up entirely of angsty youth. Turned it off at that point.

I let the whole season play while doing other things.

If you want to get your Katie Sackhoff fix then watch Longmire. Starting, IIRC, in Season Three the episodes are in 4k, and they look really good, and the filming often takes place in the beauty of natural environments.

It should still be up on Netflix, and it was a high quality, well received, production.

There's one scene that was a very nice callback to the prowess Sackhoff demonstrated on Battlestar Galactica.

Right around the 2:00 minute mark:

Don’t bother.

Ending is just a giant cliffhanger. Best part of the show was watching the super annoying characters die. Other than that no bueno.

Another example of us all getting older. The new shows that come out aren't built for our generation. It's for the 18 - 32 yr olds. The attitude we have for new shows are the same attitudes that the 40+ year olds had towards the shows that we liked when we were in that age range.

I know it isn't brand-spanking new, but The Expanse is pretty new, and it's one of the best show-s- ever.

No, this is just an awful show from the acting to the CGI.

Once I started watching The Boys after this I was happy again.

I just watched the 2nd episode.

Some things really bother me and in this case it was when they were on an alien planet and saw that there was 19% oxygen and raised their visors to breathe. They did this to avoid the foggy glass. The character even made the comment "They can send us across the galaxy but they can't figure out how to keep my visor from fogging up."

They were there to dig for some crystals which would save the ship... somehow. Because science.

Anyway when they removed their visors my first thought was "what about viruses?" The episode ended with one of the characters convulsing and bending and screaming... Yeah, that wasn't hard to predict.
