Default HA-HA! I failed a Vista Readiness Test!!!!

Apparently my GeForce 8800GTS 640mb didn't meet the requirements and I have 5 outdated drivers... *sigh* maybe next PC





I'm running Vista Ultimate x86 btw

LOL all my drivers are their except the damn capture card drivers but i found a hack for that.

Storage Server: Dual AMD Opteron 6120 CPUs, 64Gigs ECC Ram 50TB usable space across 3 zfs2 pools


HOURGLASS = most appropriate named ICON/CURSOR in the Windows world :-)

All my drivers are up to date.. that's the funny part; they're all Vista drivers.

That's exactly what happened. No WHQL or messed up cert will fail that test real fast.

yup to be considered passing you have to have all WHQL drivers which is kind of stupid considering its 50 grand to get a driver tested to be certified.

You told you that? I have talked to numerous companies and never heard anyone say anything about a fee per driver certification to MS.

There is. It's NOT talked about. At least not supposed to be. But it exists. WHQL certification costs the manufacturers for each submission.

I kinda do. I have an x64 Vista install on one of my drives and I hate disabling the need for that "feature". It does serve a functional purpose after all, increased security and stability. My 2 32bit OS's could care less about WHQL, but for my x64 OS, I like to feed it what it asks for
