Default Nvidia will launch Geforce 770 Ti models and a new Titan (Rumor)

Athough no information has been confirmed yet. According to videocardz.com Nvdiia is going to launch Ti models to respond to the latest AMD R9 cards, probably GTX 770 Ti with 1920 CUDA cores, which would be a gap filler between GTX 770 and GTX 780. There are also rumors about a new TITAN with full GK110 enabled.

Apparently Nvidia is launching a new card, the 780Ti, available for purchase mid November.

If AMD keeps playing this waiting game with the availability of the 290X, it will certainly give enough time for nvidia to react, and it did that today:

I wonder if the ti is just a factory overclocked 780, or a 780 with moar ram.

A titan with less ram and maybe slightly less clocks, selling for current 780 or less price. cant see it being anything else

A downclocked titan with 3GB of ram would not be faster than a 780.

780 TI = Titan at 1000Mhz with 3GB of ram

TITAN TI = Fully unlocked Titan @ ~900-950 with 6GB of ram

My humble guesses.

thus the maybe bit. in all likely hood its going to be just less memory; 4GB similar clocks.

It's not possible to make a 4GB variant of the 780/titan, it has a 384bit memory bus.

I think Nvidia will need to up the power limit if they're going to release a significantly faster card. Enabling all 15 SMXs isn't going to buy much performance over Titan in the same power envelope. 780 and Titan also already overclock by massive amounts, clocks for Titan usually hit about 1150 and 780 up to a bit over 1200 in the same TDP (265W), 300W should do for a stock 1000 clocked 15 SMX card with headroom for 1200MHz. That should outdo R9 290X in most situations.

Cool and quiet were mentioned by one site, Fudzilla says "low TPD(sic)". It's just not going to be possible to reduce power consumption unless this is a 20nm part, which is highly unlikely.

Occasionally they get lucky. Site is actually better now I read a few articles, back when I first saw it I'm pretty sure they made stuff up on the fly.

The GK180 core may be more efficient than the GK110 - if used in the GTX 780ti.

Yes on a mature process with GK180 respin it's perfectly possible. Think GF100 > GF110.

Fully unlocked shaders and a clock boost with the same TDP.
