Its retail boxed with manuals, heatsink/fan, and the AMD limited warrenty. If you are interested in overclocking, I managed to get 1.14ghz stable with just the standard heatsink and fan. If you have half decent cooling, 1.2ghz should come easy, and 1.25-1.3 if you have good cooling.

I could've gotten more out of it than that I think, but the mobo that I was using didnt give vcore controls, or multiplier controllers..cpu hasnt been modded in any way, so if you buy it for the warrenty, its all good.

Post here if interested and I will get back with ya..

Thanks!

Would $125 be asking too much?

US..

A retail right now would cost you $160-170, most likely $170.

An oem with heatsink/fan would cost you about $160

A bare OEM from pricewatch.com price would cost you about $145, plus $10 s/h.

No, $135

Ok, price is down to $115, this is a steal for a retail boxed cpu!!

If I go any lower, I could just sell it back to the store which I bought it from!

Default Some Questions

Is it AXIA and does it have a 266MHz FSB? Why buy a 1.33 if you can OC it to 1.4? Sounds kinda suspicious and you can't really overclock a 1.33 that high, same potential as a 1GHz AXIA in terms of overclocking.

Nope, not an axia, and is a 200mhz fsb.

what's this AXIA I keep seeing around. I know it's a revision code for the Athlon, but what's different between it and other Athlons?

They all clock easilly to 1400mhz, even from 1000..well almost all, and some will reach 1500...I would love to have an axia 1ghz, but how would I find one apart from asking those who already have bought cpus?

Default Don't Really Know...

To be honest, I really don't know how the axia works, but I know you can OC it easily. It can be OC'ed at the same speed as a T-Bird 1.33, 1.4, and a 1.5 processor OC'ed with the same cooling.

For example, a T-Bird 1.4 MAY be OC'ed if any safely with air cooling at around 1.6. The AXIA can too be OC'ed to 1.6 as easy or as hard as a 1.4. The OC'ing limits grow smaller as the chips go faster. I don't really think the Palomino can be OC'ed much with air cooling and I don't really believe it will run THAT much cooler than a T-Bird. I might be wrong, this is just what I've heard.

Unhappy I hate spoil your fun.....

but to any one buying this chip.. the warranty is void.
Now, most places will take it back cause nothing "physcally" is changed but .. dont mention that you were ocing when it dies... I'd buy it my self but I;m waiting for the mustang athlons at 1.5 and hihger

Those AXIA chips shouldnt burn, its my guess that they came from the same wafer as the 1.333's, and are replacing the current 1ghz cpus being made.

It has whether it has AXIA or not on the processor itself along with the clockspeed and the FSB speed.
