ATI picks CyberLink to provide the "Core Technology" for their Software DVD Player solution
CyberLink Corp., a leading developer of digital video software and e-learning solutions, announced today a License Agreement with ATI Technologies Inc. As a result of this Agreement, CyberLink will license its PowerDVD engine for ATI's software DVD player.
"ATI selected PowerDVD technology because of its innovative feature-set and architecture as well as the complete support for ATI's industry leading hardware video technologies," said Godfrey Cheng, Director of Marketing, Multimedia Products, ATI Technologies Inc. "With the fastest hardware acceleration in the industry provided by ATI's RADEON (TM) 9700, RADEON (TM) 9000 PRO, and RADEON (TM) 9000, more consumers can experience the richness of DVD playback on a PC."
According to Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink "One of the key strategic focuses of CyberLink is expanding our market share in Tier 1 OEM accounts and this is a significant milestone in this direction." CyberLink has five offices worldwide and dedicated personnel in order to exceed the demanding standards of this marketplace.
This new ATI DVD player will be included as a solution for the RADEON9700, RADEON 9000 PRO and RADEON 9000 solutions, including the ALL-IN-WONDERR family of products. It will be shipped globally and will be available in 24 languages.
