Default Chances of the R520 being bridged?

I was wondering how good are the chances that ATI will bridge the R520 back to AGP? Since supposidly the bridge will be ready first quarter next year. I expect there to be bugs with PCI-E until around 6 months or so after the nForce 4 is released. The reason why is I want to know if I should hold out for the R520 or just get the Visiontek X800 XT.

honestly i think it will happen. i think agp will die after the desktop r500 is released.(card after the 520) but then again ati has taken a wait and look view at agp cards right now with their huge lineup of pci express cards while leaving agp users starving to death.

my percentages would be 75-80 yes. 20-25 no.

There has been some talk about a PCIE->AGP bridge chip codenamed rialto from ati in the past so I'd guess the chances are quite good

personally i dont think you will see it. i think they are building things into the card that dont work with AGP??

they have made a clear cut move to undercut AGP and kill it off so that will only slow its death. not that pattern that im seeing from ATI.

ATI wants to sell PCI-X cards and chipsets people. cant you see that?

we will be lucky to get the X850XTpe bridged. i dont see them going AGP on anything past X800XL. IMHO!

think about it. they have a power hungry card with X850XTpe and bridge will only add more heat and power use.

insiders warned us about the death of AGP at ATI a few months ago when they implimented their plans. yes it was just rumors but they have been spot on so far.

I think they will release one more high end chip and then it will be dead.

R423 is PCIe only so guess.

Maybe we can have R5xx in AGP8x with dual slot cooler and dual molex
