![]() Wondering if anyone here has an intel dual core HT system with XP home? XP Home does not work with dual cpus (two separate sockets) but does work with dual core. I can't remember if it also supports hyperthreading. If so then 4 cpus should show up on a XP system. If only two show up then its ignoring hyperthreading. XP Pro should support quad core then. (Two dual core cpus)

![]() I've not seen anyone with that specifications & OS, but as you say it's 1 physical socket so it should work fine. XP Home does support HT, so I think it will show 4 Procs. |
