Mouse Gaming with an Ergo Mouse?

Maybe I'm getting carpal tunnel but sometimes after a while my hand gets a little numb [/waits for fapping jokes].

Has anyone gamed with one of these?

I've never used the Ergo mouse, but I game with a trackball. That might be a better option for you.

I have never used one for gaming. But I know everytime I work with one of those I manage to knock it to the floor.

Personally went the finger tip trackball route.

friend of mine has the ergo at work, has the same issue. went with a different side mouse at home for gaming and stuff and no issues at all, says its perfect.

EDIT: its an evoluent. Swears by it. I do think he had some hand cramping at first though maybe. Would make sense, the hand getting used to a new working position.

At > $100 that's pricey for me but it may be worth it. I found that HXSJ on Prime for $16 and bought it just to see how one feels. It's on a slow boat from China so I'll be lucky to get it by xmas.

I use an ergo mouse at work, takes a little bit to get used to but I don't see why you couldn't game with one.

It's finally here. It's taking some getting used to but it's growing on me. I haven't gamed much with it yet.

My main criticism is, surprisingly, the scroll wheel. I wish it were either more tacky or about a quarter inch farther back.

The only vertical mouse I found with a good sensor is Contour Unimouse.

I had Evoluent mouse before, but it had problems tracking on some surfaces, so I replaced it with Unimouse.

The only thing I don't like about vertical mice is that you have to push with a finger to press the button. Since, there is no table on the side opposite to the button, you sometimes accidentally move the mouse when pressing. IMO it would be better, if buttons would be placed in such way, that you would make a squeeze like gesture with a finger to click. Still, I got so used to vertical mouse, it feels weird to me using a classic mouse.

I'm still using it. I wish it was heavier.
I tried playing Unreal Tournament 3 Warfare with it and need to fiddle with the sensitivity a bit. I had trouble popping shock combos, which was part of why I played that. It's just matter of a little practice. I can do it fine just dinking around, in a real online game it was tough.

It's a good thing there's a light on the side. Otherwise, in the dark one could easily backhand it and knock it over
