Dude, the effort is very appreciated but I said 9x/me drivers!

j/k

It's just it's been awhile since I've seen a server jamming ATI release like this, it brings back a lot of fun memories.

heheI heard ya Dig...but I don't have them yet...I can't even begin the download the server is so jammed.

I have consolidated all of my mirrors into the first post at the top to make it easy. I'll add the 8500 98/me drivers when I get them.

I don't see how you've gotten the ones you've already nabbed, I'm having nothing but dead connects and hangs so far.

Thanks for the hosting and mirroring though, it's dearly appreciated. Days like this are times that Rage3D just shines, they always seem to have the best/fastest mirrors first.

Soooo, has anyone tried these out yet? How are they? More importantly, have they fixed the 2D hang with the 8500 that the 9066 set had? (I'm currently using Omegadrive's 2.4.66, all the 9066 files except the 2D I think. )

Yeah, tried to get the 98/ME files too, but it seems impossible.. so i have to leave it to someone else, sorry about that.

Btw, im pretty sure that my host is quite fast for everyone.. its not just for europeans, check it out if you cant get them from the other mirrors.

Default My current working theory...

...is that the monkeys in the driver department always do the 9x/me ones last and they're never quite ready when the rest of them are, so they post them all but just put up a busted link to the 9x/me ones until they're through with them.

(Yes, I know it's just psycho babbling and that ain't how they write drivers! Lemme get my frustrations out here where it's safe 'til a mirror for the new 9x/me ones comes along.)

I'm guessing this is one of those major bug-fix releases. They fixed s very minor bug in my favorite game - Descent3. The last 6 or so releases didn't fix it, but this release did. My guess is they fixed a lot fo stuff with this release.

mpfjr@pcdetour.com

Give it a try!

EDIT: You are talking about the 98/ME 8500 and NOT the 9700 right? Because I already have the 9700's mirrored.

I'm running Radeon 9700pro and that's different comparing to Radeon 8500. We can say Radeon 8500 has a serious hardware bug, but we will never know which one. So everybody who are thinking between Radeon 8500 and Radeon 9000pro, I would say Radeon 9000Pro

Well, here I was, all excited that these would fix my issues with NOLF 2. And I thought they did, after I managed to get through one of the cutscenes which used to lock up every time. But then I got to another cutscene, this time one which did not lock up prior to the update, when GUESS WHAT? IT LOCKS UP!!

I uncompressed them, so alls you need to do is use the setup.exe file.

Thumbs up YEAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I FINALLY got 'em off one of the mirrors, thanks to all who hosted! I never got them in my e-mail, but I have a feeling that's a bit of a flakey server problem on my end. (Don't you love an e-dress that you don't always trust to get e-mail at? )

I conned the wife off Blue and am ready to go give them a spin, thanks again all!
