Sorry guys, that was the only picture I could take, it was running 3dmark2003 demo in a loop over at the AMD64 launch. The guy that was there was nice enought to pop off the side to let me take this picture. I asked him if he knew when it was gonna be retail, he said it would be in 2-3 weeks or so.

Even at the ATI area they were using a 9800pro. (forgot to ask the guy for info about the XT)

At least ATI haven't fallen for the 'centrifugal fan' disease that seems to have inflicted most of the PC cooling world...

Axial flow fans are by definition better than centrifugal ones.

Thats not really true, it depends what the purpose of the fan is and the type of heatsink used.

OK, for incompressible fluids, centrifugal is more likely to be useful but well...

Very rare is the case where a centrifugal fan is better for pumping air & I don't think cooling PCs is one of them.

I like Intels new fans with stators in them

On the other hand, we bashed NV for the FlowFX (which bashing was right, IMHO) - and now we'll praise some IHV for half of the same solution (even if needs only 1 slot and probably less noisy), just because it's based on ATI chip? So pathetic.

C'mon guys: that would be VERY sad if this is gonna be the real cooling for the R360. THis means the chip OCed by default, especially in the light of all the earlier cooling solutions of ATI.

PS: I do give credit to ATI, based on their really stylish current solutions, of course. I can't believe it's gonna be the final version...
