Default Do blinking red LED lights mean low power?

My video recently started acting up when entering games like Batman Arkham Asylum. When the game starts the colors are all wacked. Going to the desktop and returning to the game would fix things. This was happening for a few weeks, then suddenly the system stopped booting. Actually, it wouldn't even POST. Checking out the system I see 2 blinking red LED's on each of my HD4850 cards. Some research seems to say the cards aren't getting enough juice from my PSU (an expensive PC Power & Cooling model). Has anybody else ever had this happen, the PSU suddenly not supplying enough power? When I try with another PSU (a weaker one at that) it POSTs. I'm thinking I need a new PSU, but before I contact the maker I was hoping I could see if anybody else here has had a similar issue.

Take a read of this, but it sounds like PSU is having problems. Try unplugging and reseating all power connections, and the card. Check for burned/melted connectors (look in the inside with a flashlight, too) and do a sniff test for the smell of the magic smoke escaping.

Run GPUz and log the info on the sensor page to a file, and check to see if you're getting high temps when it cuts off, or maybe some other problem.

Thanks for replying, I did see that, that's the research I alluded to in my post. I am not 100% sure the LED's are common across all ATI cards, mine aren't the same brand as the cards mentioned, but the problem is still probably the same. Like I said I could POST with another power supply, but that supply doesn't have 2 PCIe connectors, nor enough to power the rest of my box, so I can't use it for a true test. But the fact that it does POST for one card tells me it must be the PSU, so off for an RMA it's going to go. Thanks again for your reply.

Thanks for the note. I was wondering about it, that is whether or not it was a separate issue. Now I know.
