http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...ryId=120318757 Then the team explored what would happen to these microbes if mice were switched from their standard low-fat, plant-rich mouse chow to a diet that was high in fat and sugar. Once again, I'd like to brag that I was ahead of science cuz I've been drinking kefir almost intuitively. ![]()

Bah. Live a little zero. Put yourself out there. Don't wait for scientists to confirm things. Think for yourself for once.

Another secret to loosing weight: Exercise, don't eat food that's terrible for you, don't eat so much. How much of each is different for everyone, but it's pretty universal.

The secret Dorxtar is the swine flu, pneumonia, and a lengthy hospital stay with some of that time with a feeding tube. I lost 24lbs in 2 weeks. (I joke, that is in no way a way to lose weight and it sucks trying to rehabilitate due to muscle loss and such) Although I have changed my diet as well and have noticed since being in the hospital my bowel movements have been different (smooth, barely any need to wipe/tp looks clean). So perhaps that study is spot on and my intestines changed a bit. (I know, TMI)

"Bacteria?" Hrm. Perhaps, but my money is still on "eat healthy foods and get plenty of exercise."

Thom Hartman was hitting on this subject a couple of months ago and I was enthralled with it. Gut microbes and even worms have been effectively killed off in our systems for the past 20 years and maybe they shouldn't have. I am paraphrasing the best I can recall but what he was getting on about with his guest that the removal of these worms and bacteria is what has led to obesity but even more so food allergies. He discussed in length about how there are active research programs under way where subject are given the eggs to these worms. After a week or so when these worms begin to show up the subject have noticed all their food allergies and other allergic reactions have gone away. Maybe the process of getting too sanitized in our lives was the wrong move. Great article.

I have a rigorous masturbation regimen I follow daily and it keeps the pounds off. That and all the digging and filling of holes in my back yard. ![]()

Dorxtar is a perfect example of confirmation bias.
