Default Prison Break Video Game

Deep Silver signs license agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising for adaptation of hit TV series on PC and consoles.

The ingenious plots and fast action of"Prison Break" thrill TV audiences around the world, and provide the ideal basis for a video game," says Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media. "The game will offer the same blend of action and suspense as the show, appealing to fans of the series as well as video gamers."

"Who doesn't love the thrill of a prison break? It's a great basis for any video game, but even better when utilizing the intricate storyline and colorful characters created for the Fox series," says Gary Rosenfeld, Senior Vice President of New Media for Fox Licensing.

The protagonist of the "Prison Break" game is Company agent Tom Paxton. He is sent to the Fox River State Penitentiary to find out why Michael Scofield (the hero of the TV series), a man without a previous criminal record, became a bank robber. The storyline runs parallel to the first season of "Prison Break": Paxton encounters several characters from the series and experiences key events from his own perspective.

The action adventure "Prison Break" has all the markings of the award-winning TV series: a compelling story, distinct characters, and fast-paced action. Using diverse climbing and stealth skills, the protagonist Paxton explores numerous locations of the series, all brought to life with great attention to detail.

Well the story sounds a little far fetched, but it still might make an interesting game.

Despite the fact that it was a Soap Opera i loved the show, but that knockup for the game sounds ridiculous... couldn't they have thought up something better?

Could have been a decent game, a stealth game without the stealth mechanic normally used. Would use more distraction and deal making kind of system. Would have been interesting.

the vast majority of people who buy the game will buy it because it's prison break. not because they know anything about the actual game itself, or whether it's good or not. this is going to be a crap game that sells on it's name alone. can't believe i'm having to explain the concept of milking to you

I just don't understand how come they couldn't come up with a less ridiculous storyline. Like even a basic "your character is inspired by the Scofield breakout to escape himself" would have been better.

I definitely won't even think about picking this game up until I read some reviews and I also won't get my hopes up.

I was thinking about this far to much, and it occured to me that if they are gonna make a video game out of another tv show, it should be Burn Notice not Prison Break... i mean seriously, set up the characters (Bruce Campbell!!) place them in the city with nothing. Taken from the story the gameplay just writes itself... and we know rockstar are not gonna do a Merc/Ex-Spy story in their GTA game.

yea burn notice is a better show than prison break for a game (and a better show generally). you might want to look at alpha protocol though, for spy/espionage type gameplay. it's a new rpg from obsidian studios releasing soon.

Unfortunately i have heard from people beta testing and it supposedly fairly lackluster. I will still be looking in to it, but Obsidian simply don't have the talent, they have great ideas, but are not skilled enough to pull them off.

i was kind of impressed by the trailer of alpha protocol i saw on steam. however, when i downloaded a few more videos of it (walkthrough, dev diaries etc.) it does look a bit lame now. heck i took one screencap of a video and it was enough to put me off the game...

look at the size of that crosshair!

Sundance kid V2, i am going to assume that was a serious comment as i don't get the sarcasm. I think the cross hair is not to bad actually, it IS huge and therefore would be easier for people like SKv2 to see, but at the same time it seems far less obtrusive than many other cross hairs i have seen.

The 3rd person view puts me off more than the cross hair there. Spindoctor i have seen some of those walkthrough vids as well, and it seems to me like they are not even trying... :/

It was kind of confusing seeing a screen shot with a crosshair and what looked like an FPS. It didn't seem to make sense in a Prison Break game and I was going to complain, but luckily I figured it out before posting.

I never quite understood the appeal of prison break show and could care less about a prison break video game that has some random guy trying to break out of prison. This was already done with prisoner of war which was a great game if you were smoking pot and didn't have anything more meaningful in your life than a bunch of guards who were also smoking pot and your guy in the game was smoking pot when he went to sleep while the guy who was outside was smoking pot but when the guy you wanted to nab with the pot in hand wasn't around when you woke up after smoking some pot.

If you know what I mean...
