My turtle is a thug

Two weeks ago I bought him ten cheap goldfish, 10/$1. The guy told me, "You know he's going to eat these right?" I was like, "Yeah, that's the point."

But a few days passed and he would kinda follow the fish but not bother to chase them.

Before I knew it there were 13 fish in there. I was like, "Aw man, my turtle is a pussy..." but I still loved him.

Anyways, in the last 7 days, he's managed to keep the population down to 9 fish! I always wondered about it though because he never fished in front of anyone.

Until today! I went to my room to check up on him and he was furiously chasing three fish around his tub! I watched him open-mouthed for like a minute before he noticed me and stopped.

But when I looked around his tub, I made an awesome discovery:

Those 3 were the only fish left! WoOOT!

I'm just glad to see that my turtle is badass. I hear that some turtles aren't good at catching fish, so people end up maming them or killing them for the turtle. I did it the first time but my mom told me to not get him used to that or he'd get lazy so I stopped.

I wish I had a picture or video.

He looks almost identical to this one, cept that you can tell this one is older because the edges of his shell are almost fully colored:

I saw him eat a fish that one time that I killed it for him. He just grabbed it in his mouth and swallowed it whole though; he didn't chomp it down like that one.

Yea, I got a thug too a couple weeks ago. Catches crickets out of the air, turns their innards to liquid and then slurps it out , leaving the husk. He is violent when he eats, to say the least. Will be eating pinkies soon. That may not go over well with the wife.

Badass pet though. I'm kind of an arachnaphobe though. I broke out into a sweat when the spiders came out in Call of Juarez

Koopa eats bugs too but only when they fall in the water. He eats basically any sea creature that's smaller than him, including baby turtles

Ice would be correct. Not looking forward to it, although we had to feed them to our lizards also. The difference is they were frozen and then thawed for the lizards. With the spider they will be alive.

cept for catching fish. There are only two left now, which leads me to believe that he doesn't think much of them but does enjoy an occasional fatty snack.

My sister said she spotted him "fishing" from his platform; he would lie still on his pier, wait until a fish swam by and shoot his head into the water to get it
