Be more specific. Where exactly in Event Viewer? Application? I don't get that error message (1000 and/or 7034) at all.

I uninstalled 12.4 and went back to 12.1, again. I've had trouble with every driver after 12.1. AODDriver messes up or now the fuel service freaks out when I reboot. *sigh* ![]() This picture has no events logged because I cleared the event viewer, but this is where the errors show up. ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Ok. I don't find that error there. Mine (event viewer) goes back a month (when i installed this Win7), and none error related to AMD. [EDIT: although i have many times "Warning: Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered." /edit]Quote:

It's not like their recent drivers have been stellar. 12.4 is absolutly trash.

Fuel service? What the hell is that? What does it do? I just disable that junk in services. Haven't had any problems with doing that. |

My HDMI audio drops out completely now with 12.4's when the TV goes to sleep or turned off. Have to re-start the pc or unplug/replug the HDMI cable. I've seen it reported on several different forums, no problem until 12.4's.....how the f*ck did that get by quality control?

I installed 12-6_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_whql and guess what? It has done this 1 time(s). WTF AMD!!!!! What have they f****d up with the aoddriver files? Device manager says AODDRIVER4.1 can't be found? WHY is every driver that has AODDRIVER4.1 screwing me? It either has 4.01 and 4.1 and dont work or I remove 4.01 and it still dont work. Is there anyone here with experience on this? Do I need .Net 4 or WTF?? ![]()

I have the exact same problem. Same fault codes and timestamp and everything. I have a radeon HD 5770 if that helps. It has been an annoyance the last few months and has been causing many crashes. Also, ive wiped my drives clean and done 2 reformats since the problem and it hasnt corrected so i think its on AMD |

If you don't use any of the CPU related power options or AMD Overdrive in AMD Vision Engine Control Center, stop the "AMD fuel service" in Services.

Getting this error as well and just started getting it after I upgraded to 12.8as well as the AOD 4.1 error (which I fixed). every reboot it is in the application log. Just when I thought they had finally worked things out this happens . I use the CPU stuff in CCC and it's working so I guess the event is spam as later on in the boot process the Fuel service does start successfully. I even tried setting to delayed launch on the service and it does not help as that event still logs on every reboot. I take great pains to ensure my systems run well and the only red or failures I have logged are ATI/AMD related. Also unrelated, why will the media codec pack not install. I click custom install and all it wants to install is the catalyst install manager and lists nothing else. It does this on my 5870 and new 7970 and I have tried on new installs as well.

Mark this as FIXED. 12.9 has a new version of aoddriver, version AODDriver4.2.0 that fixes all issues I had. Works perfect, looking forward to 12.9WHQL make sure you manually remove AODDriver from device manager before you install 12.9, dont forget .net 4 first. ![]()

No more fuel service error and Rage works perfectly without compat mode enabled.
