Recently I bought Super Street Fighter 5 AE on xbox 360 and I then have fallen in love with it. never reached 2000 BP so I decided to buy this fightstick http://www.amazon.com/Street-Fighter.../dp/B0038KUNHY Super Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition S I know the secret lies in your own skill but I truly I believe that I can be no.1 in the world once I can execute those hellish combos of Akuma.what do you think, fightstick or gamepad?

A good gamepad will always beat fightstick, just simply less motion of the hands to pull off moves faster. That said, most gamepads have terrible d-pads/analog sticks that really kill accuracy. Toss up imo.

but all pro super street fighter players use fightsticks...it is not just the d-pad/analog, it is even the buttons, for example pressing L2 to execute ultras in SSF is PITA,but frankly I think it will be too difficult for me to make the switch after all those years playing with a gamepad...at least I will try.

All the pros use fightsticks because there's a lack of solid fight-game-specific gamepads and/or they learned their skills/muscle memory on a fightstick setup. Mechanically, you'll always be faster moving your thumbs than your entire hand though. If you wanna be pro and play like a pro, play with your fightstick *shrug*

Choose whatever device works for you best. You can get an adapter to use practically any controller on any modern system these days. For me, gamepads > *. PS3 pad for games that use the dpad, X360 pad for games that use dual analog.

Fight stick all the way, I have an old Madcatz sf4 se stick. Hope to get an TE soon, which is way better than SE stick. For your pad warriors the Sega Saturn S pad owns all other pads, it shits on any ps\xbox\snes pad. ![]()
