I actually tried a bit of Skyrim with Crossfire disabled (haven't done it in a looong time), and the game does actually stutter much less. Now I'm asking: how ffs can this be possible? 6 months and they can't get it right for this minor indie game? Can someone find me a better reason to say f.you AMD and get an Nvidia GPU at this point? Am I wrong to be utterly pissed and disappointed?

It act so strange, sometimes its smooth as glas and suddenly (change in TOD?) it's almost impossible to move without the stutterring.

This is a SSAA benchmark. So what are you trying to say? |

Skinner, Posting an image like that and not saying its SSAA could be considered flame-baiting. http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/g...rce-gtx-690/6/

To me it doesn't matter much if it's SSAA or MSAA pure for comparison. The fact is, CF decreases performance so is partially broken and it's this way for a long time now. Offcourse I don't expect high framerates, but it should do much better then this. An HD6990 performing better then HD7970 say's enough.

New 12.4 CAP2's are released. Download Not much from a fix standpoint though. New profiles added to this release: - Alan Wake American Nightmare : Improves CrossFire performance - Windows Media Center – Improve performance on APU configurations - Max Payne 3 (DirectX11 version): Improves single GPU and CrossFire performance |

Use the Dirt 3 profile for the Witcher 2 if you want better performance in Crossfire. Doesn't cause lighting issues from what I have seen. The F1_2011 profile gives faster FPS still but seems to cause the game to crash in certain places so isn't recommended.

Sweet, thanks for the info. I really would like to play around with it some more but from what I've seen so far compatibility is pretty good. It works in games where Nvidia's methods didn't work for me like Fallout 3. I also really like the lod correction. It keeps the image sharp enough. |

After installing 12.8 CAP2, following the correct uninstall, reboot, install, reboot procedure, I find there are NO profiles listed in the drop list - see this pic. Trying another uninstall/reinstall now. Will update further when I have more..

erm, it says right there in that picture. "This setting only applies to user defined profiles" CAP profiles wont be listed there.

So, I had to fully uninstall the driver package, reinstall it, and then install 12.8 CAP2 again.. Profiles are listed as they should be... Simply uninstalling 12.8 CAP2 and reinstalling 12.7 CAP3 resulted in an empty list too, hence the full uninstall/reinstall of the entire package. ![]()
