Yet, Beijing Eedoo Technology Ltd., the company developing the CT510, said this week that the console will be released in China on April 29. It will be priced at 3,799 yuan ($600) per unit, and it comes with eight pre-installed games.

yes, gaming is banned in china.

but you are still able to get them from some retail game store. and from Online auction site in china.

i work mostly in china, even tho they don't sell it offically. but i am still able to buy all new game at even cheaper price than in Hongkong.

so it wasn't a problem to play games if you got the money here.

i got more problem with the china great firewall, than gaming here.

if china blocked your beloved WOW online game. you probably have to pay for vpn service to only play those game.

i have paid for a yearly subscription on VPn service, in order to enjoy some youtube greatness. as well as porn are 99.99999% blocked here as well, you need vpn to enjoy those as well.

i got more problems with the internet than gaming in china. you will never know if they are going to block any site one day. Gmail and google is blocked at time, some time you are ok to surf gmail. and sometimes it was blcoked.. it is frustrating to use the internet in china.

if all you surf are site from out side of china.

What I am curious is what kinds of games are going to be developed on it, for a while now (last 5 years) I have been hearing rumors that companies are outsourcing game development to start ups in India and China!! so its possible that if such a console becomes a real thing that we are in for a hell of a surprise.
