http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...pfnudeln&num=1 I had to laugh at the end when author indicated how Gabe thought how bad Win8 was . Maybe enough incentive now for Valve to have a Steam Linux client. Would probably help with Android phones .Gabe setting up his office right in Linux land is also very interesting, demoing LeftForDead2 running natively (OpenGL and not using Wine or anything like that). |

It can't come soon enough. I'm close to abandoning Windows as it is. I've noticed that Ubuntu's software store has been improving its games list and I've seen quite a few indie games from Steam on there. A Steam client should improve that exponentially if the OSX port is anything to go by. |

We've been hearing about this client for a while, and I am really excited. I used to run Linux exclusively in the Q3-engine days. Native Linux ports for RTCW and Q3 used to be awesome. Although it was difficult to get acceleration on my 9800 Pro working at times hehe. I'll be sure to install this on my Linux partition as soon as it's released. I think it's a good move targeting Ubuntu. The OS is very user friendly and has frequent updates.

I'm ready for it. Installed the Catalyst drivers on Ubuntu. Can't wait to test Left 4 Dead 2 among other games. Serious Sam 3 running on Ubuntu: ![]() https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...0855803&type=1 |
