I think "for the speed freak" is a critical element here. If you want supersport performance, a bike is much cheaper than a car. An old early 90s supersport bike can still hold its own against most cars as well as many supersport cars, yet it can be had for less than €2000.

Video I took at Road America this weekend. A 69' Camaro (I think), getting chased down by a highly modified 2008 Viper and Z6 Z06. Gotta hand it to that old Camaro, it was really tearing up that track. I never actually saw that Viper pass it and they were neck and neck every time they were out there. We talked to the owners a little bit, it had a not-so-stock LS3.

I could have sworn there was a better version of this video somewhere. It's cool anyhow. It's an airborne military delivery of a NASCAR pace car, along with airborne and infantry escort. All to the tune of Nickelback's Hero. If anyone ever runs across a better version of this video, please let me know.

And here's a demonstration by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment conducting FRIES (Fast rope insertion) of Rangers and Special Forces soldiers at the Coca Cola 600. They put on quite a little show for the NASCAR fans.
