Frankly, being that I am quite used to playing on a touchscreen, I have no problems whether playing on my Vita or iPad control-wise. It is much like switching between keyboard/mouse and gamepad. The gamepad is less accurate, but I still enjoy gaming with it as I am profficient in its use.

As for as tactile feedback.. I am used to playing on touchscreens as well but I prefer the physical buttons/sticks. Sometimes when playing a game that has on screen movement controls its not hard to get in a very uncomfortable position and have your fingers go off the mark of where they are supposed to be... which results in constant checking of whether or not my fingers are where they are supposed to be.

So more demo screenshots, Rayman looks just as good as any version of the game.. but Hot Shots golf could use some graphical love:




















Some of the games I am seeing on Vita are gameloft games... I hope gameloft stays away from the vita cause it seems like all they are doing is just bringing the iPhone versions of their games over and not really doing much to them.

Not really, the buttons are simply loud when it is otherwise quiet in the room. Whereas my iPad is rat fart quiet when I am playing it.

I woke up drunk and heartbroken a few weeks back and basically stumbled back from the girls place to the games shop to pick one of these up. 10 hours later I was sober and holding the thing in my hands in deep regret at the money I had spent. Sat down to take a **** the next day and spent the next 30 min playing Super Stardust Delta and falling completely in love with the device.

In a lot of ways I actually prefer it to my 360 for some quick gaming while I'm on the couch -- can have the hockey game on in the background and just jam with some SSD or Mutant Blobs Attack.

Any consensus on what the best MP game currently is? I was looking at both Hot Shots and Virtua Tennis 4 but am wondering if either works well online. Also, is Rayman as hot **** as everyone keeps on saying it is?

For multiplayer it depends on what kind of games you like.. Marvel vs Capcom is nice.. I heard that MLB the show is pretty decent too.

As for Rayman.. if you want to know what its like just download the demo on steam and just imagine it with the Vita controls..

The PC demo is actually far better because it has more variety and does a better job showing off the game IMO. I wish the demos were the same.

I'm most interested in the progression of Rayman which I can't gather from the demo -- does the game become intensely difficult at any point? I find that unless a platformer has a really novel concept, I just need an insanely difficult challenge to keep my interest a la Super Meat Boy (which I would ****ing love on the vita btw)

I can't speak from experience because I don't own the game, but I've heard from many people that some of the later levels (perhaps especially special stages) become very, very challenging.

Been checking out some of the games ocming out on Vita and Resistance Burning Skies looks to be a quality game on the system. Was watching the video below.. looks good... too bad I have never played the resistance series and no nothing about its story line.

I really wish they would port Fallout 3/NV or Elder Scrolls 3/4/5 in full to the vita. Those are the sort of huge games I want on Vita.

Finally there is a machine capable of full on console gaming, and I want more software worthy of the machine.

Skyrim would actually fit just fine, as it is all of 6GB on the PC installed. I'm sure that it could be cut down significantly from there.

skyrim will be best quaity game on the vita.. but battery life on the vita just isn't good enough for this addictive game.

that's not "slightly" larger, that's like 28% larger by area.

I'm not saying its a bad thing; its hard to do what that device can do at its price point in a smaller form factor
