givin the digital crack of WoW i am done for good, but i very much miss the gameplay style.
as a former mage is there any other game out there that can capture that play in a single player game *with an end*. i stress the end so that at some point i can feel done with the game and move on.

Well WoW's basic gameplay IS Diablo at heart (questing, loot gathering, experience...), just the gameplay mechanics are different. Probably Guild Wars would be the closest thing gameplay-wise to a singleplayer WoW, and I think that games like Borderlands are an interesting take on the hack'n'slash genre made into first person. So, it could be just a matter of time until someone makes something like this - but then again, they can make far more money if they can make a successful MMO than a successful singleplayer game.

I finally tried the demo over the weekend when Gratuitous Space Battles kept crashing

. It was better than I thought it was going to be. I'll definitely pick this up over the upcoming holidays.

Not having any freezing. Some slowdowns when things get a little hectic, but no freezing.

No freezing here either, but have occasionally seen the very slight hiccup when there are lots of explosions occuring at once.

I get a 2-3 second freeze every 15 min or so, probably more random than that.

Ahh, I see. When I read freeze I think 'lock up', not a hiccup/stutter
