The color in that second one is really nice.

I'm wanting to pick up some filters so I can do long-exposure shots during evening light, to get movement in the clouds/water.

But then again, I'm not much of a nature/landscape photographer.

Thanks guys. I cant wait to go out tomorrow to try some more shots.

Scottdoom, you can try when its darker by just stopping down to the highest fnumber and increase the exposure just a tad just to see what you get. You may suffer from diffraction and will have to darken the photo up a bit. Its worth a shot

I've stopped down to f/22 and f/32 before, and it's usually enough for some slight blur in water movement when in the shade, but what I really want is those blurred skies seen during daylight and I think that can only be achieved by slapping some thick filters down on the lens.

Overexposing will get a longer exposure, but will probably do horrors to the sky.
