Modern Warfare 2 is kick ass!

Played some sp missions but got bored and directly went to mp. It blew my mind, been playin hours and hours these days.

Question: The whole dedicated servers thing that's just to those that play it on pc right? I mean we still have super fast connections etc for xbox because it's through XBL right?

I saw that but I didn't want to be mean.
I am pretty sure the experience on xbox relies on hosts' internet connection... and you are going to have the problem of host leaving and have to wait few seconds(hopefully few seconds) for the system to assign a new host.

this actually makes me laugh a lot and it makes me sad at the same time:


Uncharted 2 is the best MP I played on a console so far and if it had dedicated servers and didn't have to search for a new host it would come close to PC standards for a MP.
but it does bug me when it searches for a new host.

I heard Naughty Dog is going to release a new patch(maybe they already did) or something like that to prevent people from leaving so that would take care of the search for a new host.

yep, but the 5 second delay is real:

Why is this a problem? Because Infinity Ward also revealed in the chat that the game will pick who hosts. You have no control over it. If the host leaves, there will be a five-second delay while the game picks the next best host. Players have no way of controlling who is hosting, and of course we know there will be no dedicated servers.

It has only happened twice so far in matches I have been in and it is painless...better than the game ending completely and losing your points/XP.

Thanks for linking that review, at work so no gamespot for me! Review sounds very positive, 9.5 is pretty good (although lately it seems like every high budget game scores good regardless of how good it is =/ )

Anyways I been watching so many videos I can't imagine this game won't be insane..

The whole 5sec new host deal, big deal. People will find anything to complain about now a days, its so much better then joining a game and being thrown back to lobby.. join another game.. disconnect right back to lobby.. The worst was when you were doing amazing and had like a 20 kill 0 death score and the host leaves and you lose it all ;(

MW 1 didn't have dedicated servers (on the 360 site) it was fine and the game was great.. Not so sure why people are making such a issue now? The PC side.. ya bad choice not to give you the option of a dedicated server..
