Default What Do You Name Your Gaming PC?

You know how arcade vendors use names like Taito Type X2 or Model 1, Model 2 to name their systems. Whats the name of your current gaming system?

I name my OctoExpress Type 1.

My last watercooled rig was Insane-O-Mod 2008, accompanied by the lappy (netbook) and the DVD Player (a mini ITX machine built into a DVD player chassis).

I've since upgraded, my current main rig is Dream Machine - at least it's network ID is as such, and my new ITX rig is Lil' Red.

My PC's get named by the chassis and not the innards, or I'd be having to come up with new names on a yearly basis. My last system was Wirewolf. My new system is Evol-i7 for Evolutionary Upgrade - i7 since this rig is only an evolution of the previous and not a revolutionary change.

Mine don't get that name until I've had them for a couple of years and they start pissing me off. THEN they get named that.

I name mine after the codename of the CPU. Hence my laptop is called Merom and my desktop is named Bloomfield.

I almost went that route a long time ago. But then I realized that as often as I have overlapping machines, I could end up with 2 same named PCs too easily like that

You and me both. At most I refer to it as 'My Computer' or 'PC'.

If I had more than one I'd probably describe it by color or chassis.

I only very rarely talk about it by name, the name is just something for the net id and as a header for the sig.... not much more.

At any rate does your computer predict the future?

Whatever the reason you called it that it must be pretty messed up in the head.

I just call my PCs ACER (Acer timeline), Compaq (Compaq c770), Desktop (gaming PC), HTPC (take a guess). My feelings towards HTPC and Desktop are deeper then their names suggest. Acer and Compaq are cheaply replaceable and can go F themselves if they ever start giving me problems.
