My FC now has some 800hp or so, and only has 225/20 tires It's just hilarious. I can't even use the gas, I'm gonna expiriment with ratios and see if I can't get it at least slightly driveable. I wish I could go wider than 225's... Real FC's can. I also wish there were widebody options in this game, that'd be sweet as hell. |

Oh yeah, I had my first rollover this morning, it was on purpose, and was on Sedona. I took my RX7 into the barrier on one of the huge banked turns just to see what would happen, then I rewound ![]() |

Finished up my 2nd season last night. I'm at level 15 I believe as of this morning. I'm loving this game, a LOT. My FC is now dialed in with ~500hp, only slight weight reduction, I've got it set up to be an A600 on the dot, and I'm owning up A class races. I'm working on an A class Nurburgring tournament, 3 heats on certain sections of the ring, and so far I've won them all, got one more tournament left in that series. I did just get my first 2nd place finish, in an A class World Championship race Got beat by a Z06, and just barely ![]() Even though I have my FC set up with only ~500hp, I've still only got 225/20 tires, so it's still really slidey. I've really figured out the pedal modulation though, so I'm not doing too bad. I also droppped my final drive ratio down to 2.98, my 6th gear goes off the friggin chart It maxes out around 180 due to lack of power.Last edited by Elysian : Nov 6, 2009 at 09:58 AM. |

Just finished getting to Level 40 last night (what a lot of racing to get there)...kinda disappointed in the car you get but it's okay. Problem I'm having now is the cars are getting so powerful that if you gas just a hair too much out of a turn you go spinning around and lose tons of ground. Gonna be a long road to Level 50 but I'll get there soon. Has anyone had any luck with auctions? I've never ever been able to get in the last bid and I've tried a dozen times. The only thing I ever got from auction I just paid the buyout price because it was soo good. |

I'm rather turned off the Season mode now due to the fact that it's nothing but R* car type racing. I much prefer racing normal every day type cars. Don't think I'll ever finish Season mode because of this. I'd go get GTR or iRacing on PC if I wanted excellent race car racing.

I never even finished a whole season, I got to the championship with my dumb Honda Fit and just bought my FD and went into Event List to pick whatever I wanted.

Yeah, I'm on the A class Championship right now. I don't see that as a problem though, if you can change races when you aren't doing championship. |

Man I've just been using my tweaked Bugatti Veyron on some of the longer tracks...what a beast! I just did a 4 lap race of the Le Mans circuit de la Sarthe and each lap I was beating R3-level cars by at least 25 seconds or more. I'm keeing my Veyron at R3 for now and focused most of my upgrades for better handling (less weight, better tires, etc). Still has 1011 HP though Right now it does: 0-60mph :1.98s 0-100mph :4.4s It hits 200mph like it's nothing and accelerates like a rocket...who needs nitrous ![]() |

I knew my FD had more in it. I never tweaked anything and generally suck at it, but I messed with the final drive a bit and got it from 230MPH to 253MPH and it accelerates a bit faster too I'm so close to a 10 second quarter mile. This thing ate every other car in the game beforehand, now it will pee in their butts too.

Try adjusting the diff if you have trouble applying the power out of corners etc. I love how the 430 handles so it just has to be you .Seriously though, most cars can be tweaked to be more 'driveable' and more neutral. I'm no tuning wizard by any means but the FM forums are always a good resource. Unless of course your F430 has 1000bhp and you treat the accelerator like an on/off switch. ![]()

Nah, the 430 is A 599 version so not modded to the extreme. It's just extremely hard to corner and I am playing on medium difficulty with most assists apart from braking and optimal racing line. It's just that I brake the damn thing and it keeps going straight and doesn't turn. Maybe I need practice or something. |

Just started playing last night. Loving it. Only level 4 so far. I cannot believe what they start you off in though. I was laughing so hard, and pissed at the same time. I love that they added the IROC-Z, and the GTA. The GTA was such an amazing handling car in it's day. Had an 88 and that thing handled like on rails (Drove like it too rofl). But still mmm. I also like that they finally added a sound to the Superchargers when you install them. But it seems too quite IMO. A TwinScrew should be peircing your ears. But I dislike that the twin turbos don't have any sound, and there is no BOV action. And I don't have a Hard drive so it pisses me off that I can't get my real car (04 GTO) that is so stupid.

Ahan, will try but in most cars I can power slide / drift slightly over tough corners but with the F430 the damn thing doesn't like prolonged braking with steering turned (ends up in the fence everytime I keep braking for a long period). I also think that this playing only on weekends adds a learning curve to my skills since it becomes hard to get back into Forza after 4-5 days away from the game. |

But, there is a lot of challenge in trying to perfect racing lines, running a clean race, and getting the best times possible. There is definitely a learning curve if you haven't played many games in that way, but it's totally worth it. You should at least give it a shot if you haven't already.

Just keep practicing. It's a lot of power to keep in check, but that makes it a fun car to drive IMO. I just upped a quick replay to my storefront of me driving the 430 on Amalfi full (named QuickRun1). It's my first time driving the 430 in this particular game so I did a warm up race and this replay was a retry right after.
