It could squeeze out more over time and cover better thus invalidating any conclusions. Besides if you read the instructions arcticsilver tells you to use a dot on some CPUs and a line on others. |

Dot or line is simple. Dot if a single die (Pentium 4, Core 2 Duo, i5/i7), line if dual-die (Pentium D, Core 2 Quad).

I always use a pair of brackets )( across 2/3 of the heatsink, centered. Always gives me a good spread even on crappy Xigmateks ![]()
