Default Catalyst 8.11 RC1 (8.542)

Vista x86/x64

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T9IM88BP

http://rapidshare.com/files/15476492...8.542.rar.html

XP x86/x64

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L80CVRGH

Only difference I see from 8.10 is an updated OpenGL driver, newer CCC.

Includes support for AGP cards.

Driver Packaging Version 8.542-080930a-070249E-ATI
2D Driver Version 7.01.01.830
Direct3D Version 7.14.10.0618
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.8087
Catalyst® Control Center Version 2008.0930.2229.38458

Enjoy.

Ok, installed np's, heres the info i get on my end

I still see 115 OpenGL extensions, i thought maybe having a new OpenGL component there may have been more added, oh well.

Driver is nice and stable in Lock On Modern Air Combat: Flaming Cliffs 1.12 (the main app i always use to test)

Out of interest, does anyone else fly this sim? i'd love to see this get some proper support from AMD/ATI

Did you notice that Smartgart is not working for you?

IS that a driver issue or your card in particular?

I have never ever had Smartgart installed in any driver, its deliberate, i install the driver manually and allow it to use my nforce3 GART driver, has always worked much better that way

Nice, lightweight clean install, no CCC, just the driver and ATT for me

Glad to see some folks who like flight sims. IL2 1946 here, and waiting on the next installment, Battle of Britain.

Can anyone tell me if they fix the crash when enabling vsync in game for OGL and having triple buffer ticked in CCC?

A funny problem with these.
I've tried installing with the EXE, I've tried installing through device manager. ALL with an uninstalled and driver sweeper after an uninstall.

These drivers appear to rock on my system. I even have for the first time fan control although im watercooled! Also dont appear to have as much memory bleed from this set. All in all a good release and thank you so much to rflair for keeping us updated. Keep them coming mate.

The powerplay problem with 4870x2 is still there, however I fixed this with mine by creating a profile with changing both the coreclock targets to a value at 50701 instead of 50700.

Works a treat and even when installing new drivers the profile disappears but stays set up in the ATI ACE settings. (Hope this makes sense)!

i thought that was only an ETQW issue, before patch 1.2 of the game

ETQW latest & prey work fine on my 4870x2 / vista64 (possibly xp64, not sure i tested) with vsync & triple buffering (of course, input lag is killing me so i just cap at 60fps)

Has anyone tested with 4850 CF in Vista x64 yet? Downloading now....hopefully these drivers will yield good results.
I'm currently running the Far Cry 2 hotfix drivers and they work great with Crysis Warhead.....however I heard this set gives gains up to %20 in Warhead..... we'll see I guess.

I've tested these Driver and I have to say I am really IMPRESSED!

I get about 10% more fps in Crysis (1920, VeryHigh) - went from 20 to 22fps

about 5% more in COD4 (1920, max Details) -from 68 to 73fps

and about 45% more in Bioshock (1920, max Details) - from 70 to 100fps (!!)

WOW

(compared to the Farcry2 Hotfix!)

8.11 Cats will be AWESOME for Unreal Engine Games!!!

I tried the CAT 8.10 drivers and those did not correct the problem where some audio receivers are recognized as DVI devices instead of HDMI devices. The 8.10 drivers still recognize my Yamaha RX-V663 as a DVI device. Any idea if the Cat 8.11 drivers correct this issue?

Well I installed and they run great....I don't have a really good quantitative comparison, but Warhead seems to run much faster......around 3-5 FPS more or so at 1920x1080, enthusiast (shadows and particles on gamer), 2xAA.

adaptive antialiasing is still bugged in world of warcraft and warhammer online, probably in other games too.

I would really love if instead of improving performance in games that already perform extremely well, they would work on fixing all the issues that are still outstanding...like DX10 CF scaling and DX10 and HDTV's (this one especially).

I tried these and they offer no noticeable improvement in anything unless I'm running a benchmark and fix none of my issues.

I agree, I'm really bummed that I can't run AA in Lord of the Rings online with my 4870x2. PLEASE ATI, fix this and forget about games that aren't even out yet like Farcry 2! Sheesh!!
