sure would be nice to see the official nvidia page with some updated drivers. My last bunch of cards for the past years were ATi and I know now that I was spoiled with my monthly driver updates. You don't miss that until you have video driver related issues and have to wait impatiently for who knows when...

I thought nvidia was going to work on releasing official drivers faster?

acroig..sorry i totally missed this until today.

i have 2 probs on vista x64 that i'm assuming (hoping?) are driver related...

1) in windows dvd maker, when I preview the dvd menus, the video overlays and other effects (like transitions, fades, etc) flicker and have lines through them.

2) silly as it may sound, the ribbons screensaver crashes. I've narrowed it down to specifically the 64bit ribbons.scr that crashes. The 32bit ribbons.scr (included on the same 64bit windows install) runs without issue. Whenever the 64bit one is previewed, just after moving the mouse or tapping a key, I get "ribbons has stopped responding" and then click ok to close it.

I've reported both using the Nvidia feedback tool... whether its driver issue or not, i dont know but i'm hoping?

was using the latest drivers available from their site.

Thanks, Spyder. I would guess all those issues are driver related. Does it happen with any of the other 64 bit BETAs?

I don't know..to be honest I haven't tried any betas, just the drivers from the nvidia site.

On a side note, I figured out the cause of the screensaver crashing. you'll never guess...

Logitech Setpoint (i'm using v4.4)

If I close Setpoint from the tray icon, the screensaver doesn't crash. If I reload Setpoint, the screensaver crashes when coming out of an active state.

Guess its time to go report it on Logitech's forums?

Try one of them out, you'd be surprised how well they run. I' ve gotten great results from the 174.82s.
