How to make my X850 PRO > X850 XT?

When I did mine I modified the X850XT PE bios with RaBiT v1.7 and lowered the default clock speed to 500/500.
Make sure you have ATITool ready when you first start up after flashing the bios, the fan speed may be too low and your core will get VERY hot. Just set the fan fixed at 100% and you are good to go.

Not all X850 Pros can be modded with a bios change. I have a PowerColor
X850 Pro Vivo and the mod does not work on it. I even sent my bios to wizzard who wrote that article and he couldn't make it work either. I'm not Unhappy with the card but would like to see what 16 pipes would do on it.
Mine will clock to 600/1280 easily. Guess I need to pull the fan and see if mine has the lazor cuts on the core.

then Ill just buy another and return the other big deal

or RMA but i doubt ill have to its a ATI built one

my card has only liked 509/540 or so clocks.. i even tryed raising voltage.. it was in my old badly cooled case though havnt tryed it in my new one

100-150 bux i dont have I got this for what $250 or something.. i think its crazy to spend over 200 to begin with i dropped $230 on the 9700 pro 1st month when it was new
