There's no subtraction. You pay the full $70 and get $50 in your Steam wallet. You aren't saving a dime, just getting some extra funbux for your purchase.
It's not fuzzy math though it's just bad math. I understand the idea that you're "buy $50 Steambux get a Razor mouse for $20!" but that's not the case here unless dude just misspoke and it IS a killer deal.
Not bad math at all. If one will spend $50 on Steam anyways, then why not pay $70 for a really nice mouse (if you need/want it) and $50 Steam credit combo pack.
$70 total price - $50 Steam card = $20 Mouse. Or $20 Mouse + $50 Steam card = $70 Total. Doesn't matter how you spin it, I am buying a mouse that sells for $70 at retail for only $20, cause I will end up spending $50 on Steam no matter what.
Also far from funny money, it is a real $50 value that can be spent on $50 worth of software on Steam.
Anyone who can do simple math and regularly spend money on Steam can see what a fantastic value that deal is.
