Dakota Fanning is the best Child Actor of all time.
 

The kid is freaking amazing. She is the only Child actrees i have ever watched that made me forget she is a child actress.

The Kid Rocks.

I was just looking at some stills from the upcomming War of the Worlds movie with Tom Cruise and Her. Its just amazing that a Kid that young could be so talented and believable. i have seen some of her other work and am always amazed at her skill. she will likely grow up to be one of the best Female Actors of all time.

She is absolutely brilliant, I totally agree. She doesn't have to say a single word but you are still drawn in by her acting. It's hard to say what will happen when she gets older. Anna Paquin was fantastic in "The Piano" but has done little since that would be considered memorable acting.

I also like Haley Joel Osment a lot.

Child actors reach their prime while at a young age, unfortunately. They just lose steam as they grow up. I would be surprised if Fanning could maintain her acting ability in her 20s and 30s.

I was rather impressed watching the War of the Worlds trailer, but that's the first time I've seen her act I think. What else was she in?

She was great in "Man on Fire", And "I am Sam".

She is great (I love your avatar by the way. Seven of FINE is mine). I bet Dakota is going to be hot when she gets older.

I haven't seen I am Sam, but you're right, she was absolutely beautiful in Man on Fire.

My initial reaction to the thread title was that I don't think she's all that great, but then I remembered she was in Man on Fire and I thought she was quite good in that movie. I also saw Hide and Seek recently (despite thinking it would be horrible) and was pleasantly surprised by how good she was in that movie.

The International Cut is longer than the US cut (known as The Professional). I believe it is longer by almost a half-hour.

Some 'questionable' content, such as the Russian Roulette scene and the, uhh... question to deflower... scene are shown in the Intl. version. Awesome movie, probably Portman's best (and her first, ironically).

She's creepy. Too...white even for me :lol:

But yeah, I saw her in the Taken series and she's a good actor.

She's good(amazing for a kid to act so good) but I'm tired of seeing her in every other movie :nuts:

I thought she was great in Hide and Seek as well, man she is a great actess.

I don't think child actors burn out though, I think we as the public get used to seeing them young and once they grow up we can't really see past what they looked like when they were young.

She is absolutely amazing. Her acting in Man on Fire is absolutely brilliant.

I think the fact that she is so little and absolutely precious/adorable in the cute-little-baby sorta way helps too.
